Thank Goodness it's Friday & for Pet Insurance

Good morning sunshine!

We made it to Friday! There were times I wondered. :)

Our new medication, Ace (I think the full name is Acepromazine), is a life-saver... not only does it make Taylor a bit sleepy but it seems to be a bit of an anti-anxiety medicine. I highly recommend this to pet owners in similar recovery situations!

We checked in with Dr. Clara, she was very happy with our progress report. Hip, hip, hooray!

Our first reimbursement checks have arrived, thank goodness for pet insurance! Many people laugh when I mention our boys are insured. But, we have seen some great reimbursement with all of our expenses from Taylor's soft tissue sarcoma diagnosing and surgery. We use VPI pet insurance - three cheers to them! It definitely makes decisions with your pet a whole lot easier, especially when faced with these types of health care decisions. We have taken advantage of the full coverage and wellness plan many times over the years... if only we had signed up for the additional cancer coverage earlier in the year.

I was reading the VPI newsletter the other day... they are featuring their Hambone Award -  these are some crazy stories! The award features the most unusual pet insurance claim of the year - it makes me feel better. We aren't the only family that has everything that can go wrong, go wrong. There are a bunch of us out there! I'm happy we haven't had to deal with some of the issues other have been so lucky to experience - we have had our own challenges.

I'm ready for the weekend, a couple days of relaxing and healing... maybe in between I can give some love to my flowers and plants outside, they have been a bit neglected in the hot summer sun over the last month.
