It all began with a vision for a vintage hot air balloon celebration. I patiently waited months to find out if I was planning a party for a boy or a girl. Finally! I learned it was a boy and after finding beautiful invitations that fulfilled the more masculine color scheme of olive oil yellow, olive green and aqua... the planning got fun!
After many months of picking the perfect pieces for the event, the moment finally came. Here is a brief photo tour of the big day!
First, the main event... paper mâché hot air balloons with vintage berry baskets, tissue, and fabric from Etsy vendors. These floated next to beautiful tissue pom poms in matching colors.
We had amazing food from Babette's Catering including: fresh fruit, a variety of cheeses, veggie skewers, dip and croissants stuffed with a variety of savory fillings.
A dessert bar that was delish - and just as pretty - filled with Izze 'bubbly' drinks, cotton candy balls, macarons, homemade pizzelles, mini cupcakes, rock candy and pretty decorated Voss bottled water! Decorative elements included: small succulents, aqua straws and homemade bunting!

Each table was covered in succulent centerpieces, succulent favors with 'thank you' tags, burlap table runners from even more Etsy stores! Thanks to many friends I gathered baby food jars for the succulent favors and purchased amazing large terrarium jars for the centerpieces.
We even enjoyed a competitive game of baby bingo - along with the matching scratch cards - during the gift opening. Three lucky guests left as grand-prize winners!

In addition to a clothesline of color coordinated baby clothes, paper mâché hot air balloons hung from the room with even more tissue poms.
